Acrylic Farmyard Scene on Canvas

Pastoral acrylic on canvas, signed lower left, titled, signed and dated verso. In the foreground on the left, a proud rooster struts through tall, green grass, its chestnut and rust-red feathers highlighted with creamy whites in the tail and chest. Across the lawn on the right, a hen is settled low to the ground, surrounded by a cluster of pale, downy chicks, turning her head protectively toward them.

Soft, blended greens create an expansive meadow that leads into a band of trees and a wooden fence in the background, giving a sense of a sheltered, sunlit farm. Loose, painterly brushstrokes, gentle contrasts, nostalgic and charming!
