Atmospheric Oil Abstract Diptych

Wonderful oil diptych, signed indistinctly lower right, made of two long, horizontal panels that read like a shifting landscape or a distant city seen through weather.

In the upper panel, deep greens and dark teal build a dense “ground” of brushy texture, while a slate-blue to warm rust sky sits behind it. Across the horizon, a looping, bridge-like line in dark black drips downward in places, as if the structure is melting or raining paint. Scattered silhouettes and blocky shapes suggest figures, machinery, or buildings, with flashes of electric lime and turquoise creating a night-glow effect.

The lower panel feels calmer and more spacious: a misty blue-green field stretches across the bottom, with a pale, hazed sky above. A band of linear marks - upright posts, cables, and crossbars - forms an industrial scaffolding, again in maroon with visible drips. Neon green splatters and small dots punctuate the scene like signal lights, and a soft arcing line ties the composition together.

Together, the two panels balance wild, crowded energy on top with a quieter, atmospheric echo below, like memory and reflection of the same imagined place.
