Dreamy Oil on Canvas

Feverish, dream charged oil on canvas, signed lower left, where flowers, fish, and figure seem to surface from the same mysterious current. At the centre, there’s a dark bouquet with hot pinks, crimson reds, violet petals, and flashes of orange and cream, its thick impasto giving the roses a raw, almost volcanic presence. Around it, fish drift through a cool blue-grey field. On the right, a woman’s face emerges in profile-like stillness, pale, watchful, and otherworldly, anchoring the painting with a human presence amid the swirling symbols. The composition feels aquatic and nocturnal, as if a bouquet has been lowered into a dream-sea and transformed into myth. Romantic, strange, and richly tactile - a vision of beauty, memory, and mystery moving beneath the surface.
