Hazy Pastel Landscape on Paper

Striking pastel work of landscape on paper housed in an ornate frame, indistinctly signed lower right. In the style of Camille Corot, it’s a lyrical composition of a tranquil scene with a dreamlike intensity, the boundaries of the figures and foliages lost in a soft haze of colour. The towering tree bows down under the weight of its leaves, forming a secondary frame in the foreground, along with the two brightly dressed women figures.. Love the gentle ambience it exudes..
