“Sunkissed Giant," Original Mixed-Media Landscape
$100
One of a kind: there is only one.
An original mixed-media painting by Barrie artist Dr. Jill Price, titled "Sunkissed Giant" and initialled "JP 11" on the mat. A small but powerful landscape: a blazing red, orange and cream sky swirls in thick, marbled acrylic behind two dark trees sculpted in heavy, glossy relief. The foreground is built from torn and layered canvas fragments in grey, gold and red. It's intensely textured, almost sculptural, and glows like the last minutes of a sunset. This piece is from her earlier collage landscape period, which explored how landscapes reflect both beauty and the forces that shape them.
