Vintage Art Print Mounted on Natural Slate
$60
One of a kind: there is only one.
A striking vintage decoupage plaque featuring Paul Klee's iconic Senecio, one of the most recognizable images of the Bauhaus era. The round, mask-like face is broken into soft blocks of pink, butter yellow and cream against a warm orange ground, with mismatched red eyes and a single raised green eyebrow. Klee's signature and date, "Klee 1922," appear in the lower left as part of the print.
The print is mounted on a genuine natural slate tile. The plum-brown slate, with its layered, rough-hewn texture and chipped edges, makes a beautiful, earthy border. It's a fun piece of retro craft decor, probably from the 1970s to the 1990s.
