Botanical Vanitas Still Life, ink and Watercolour on Paper

An atmospheric contemporary work in ink and watercolor, signed and dated verso, rendered almost entirely in a soft, layered green palette. Dense tropical foliage — banana leaves, ferns, and trailing vines — frames a mysterious still-life grouping at center: a weathered stone form, a small animal skull, and glass bottles nestled among the greenery. The loose, confident ink linework paired with translucent watercolor washes gives the piece an atmospheric, almost overgrown quality - a modern take on the botanical vanitas tradition, where lush plant life and bone are combined as a meditation on nature and mortality.
